Rowayda Al Haj is an artist and graphic designer. She is fascinated with art since childhood, and as a result, in recent years she launched a creative journey to become an artist and calligrapher.

Rowayda’s work comprises a unique balance of creative and technical expertise in graphic design, coupled with a strong background in art. The process of creating her work follows through from careful thought and sensitivity about ideas, details, colors, balance and a delicate spontaneous sense; this gives it its own distinction.

A prize-winning painter and calligrapher, in 2007 Rowayda Al Haj was awarded the first prize in Guiding Art Work Competition. She learned Arabic calligraphy under the supervision of the professional artist and calligrapher Khalifa Al Shimy. Rowayda Al Haj has exhibited widely across the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf, and has been involved in several art and design projects and conferences in the region including creating a design identity for Al Nawader Dates and leading the group  “Environmental Friends and Volunteers” at the University of Sharjah as Art Director.

Rowayda Al Haj intends to continue with her contribution to the growing world of design and art with her plans to form a company with a new generation of talented designers and artists.
